Happy First Birthday Noah   03 Dec 06

We celebrated Noah’s first b-day today. He turns one for real tomorrow, but what fun is a b-day party on a Monday. The kid didn’t really fuss until it was all over. It was a long day for him, but good times.

Noah is just a little over 3 months old now. Here are a few somewhat recent pics. He is lifting his head up a bit, and looks like he might be getting close to rolling over… or tackling someone.

I’ve promised some pics of Noah. Not much, but these are something…

He Sleeps   25 Jan 06

I really have to get some more pictures up of Noah, as he is now starting to form a bit of a personality. So my apologies.

Anyway, the night before he managed to sleep for a full 6 hours straight, and last night he slept 9hrs! Ahhh, tis a good day. For those of you that don’t know, babies tend to sleep 2-3hrs at a time. Sleep, wake up and eat. Eventually they will suprise you and bust out a full night, and start making your life a little easier.

I rode yesterday! A little over an hour at lunch. Nothing fancy, but it felt really good to be back on the bike again. Even if the winds were 20-30mph. Riding uphill with a tailwind you could actually tell it was 50 degrees out. Nice day.

First Couple of Nights   08 Dec 05

We brought Noah home on Tuesday, and that first night was rough. He slept at about 30-45 minutes at a time. Basically a constant stream of changing, feeding, sleeping, crying, sleeping, crying, feeding, sleeping, crying. All around good time. He’d sleep if I held him, so I just rocked and held him for a couple of hours. Needless to say, we didn’t sleep too much that first night.

Ethan and I went into my office for a couple of hours to give Mommy a break. We got back, and Ethan fell asleep. With everyone napping, I went upstairs and got in a couple of hours of sleep. Oh man did that feel good.

Ethan came down with some sort of illness, so he is at least somewhat inactive, and Noah is sleeping better, so we actually got some pretty good sleep last night.

I was able to do a little bike maintanence today, and got my basement set up for some indoor riding. Unfortunately I was only able to ride for 15 minutes… Tomorrow I will start hitting it with some real training. Well, as real as I can get with rollers. I’ll likely just slap in a Tour DVD and ride. Gonna take a few days to get my body back into it.
